John J. Joyce, President and Chief Executive Officer
John J. Joyce has been the leader of Ambient since 2001, after joining the company in 2000 as Chief Operations Officer. Since taking the reins as President and CEO, John has provided Ambient with strategic direction and vision, resulting in a period of unprecedented growth. John has established himself as a leader in the industry and is a frequent contributor to industry dialog through speaking engagements, panel discussions and consistent interaction with thought leaders within the utility and smart grid industries.
John has over 25 years experience as a senior executive working with international utilities and financial industries. John held senior positions with companies such as ABB, Price Waterhouse and Citicorp. He has extensive international experience in business development, consulting and financial markets.
Prior to joining Ambient, John served as Senior Vice President of ABB Financial Services Inc. while also serving as President of Financial Consulting - The Americas, where he led the global energy consulting practice within ABB Financial Services. A CPA in the United States, John holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business, New York University, where he majored in Finance and International Business.
